Over the past few weeks, Coronavirus/COVID-19 has significantly impacted the way many health care facilities do business. Priority Radiology is remaining open to meet the health needs of our community. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC and our state and local government. We are taking all precautions to maintain a safe environment for our patients and employees.
Following the guidelines of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and ACR (American College of Radiology), we will not be doing elective screening and non-urgent exams. Therefore, we are postponing the following exams for at least 30 days:
- SCREENING MAMMOGRAMS
- MSK ULTRASOUND (hands/wrists/feet)
- THERAPEUTIC JOINT INJECTIONS
- ARTHROGRAMS
- THYROID BIOPSIES
- LUNG CANCER SCREENINGS
- CARDIOVASCULAR SCREENINGS
- DEXASCAN
If you have an urgent or special circumstance, our radiologists will discuss with your providers, to determine whether we can do the exam or provide alternate options.
All other exams can be completed as ordered by your referring physician. (i.e. MRI/CT/XRAY/ULTRASOUND/DIAGNOSTIC MAMMO/BREAST BIOPSY)
In addition, we will be altering our hours of operation to 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri and will be closed on Saturdays.
If you have an upcoming appointment and are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, respiratory illness, or have a fever, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment until these symptoms resolve and you are feeling better. If you arrive to your appointment with these symptoms, you may be asked to reschedule and may not be seen. In addition, if your doctor has ordered imaging to aid in the diagnosis of COVID-19, we are NOT equipped to adequately handle these cases. We request that you contact your doctor for direction on where the imaging can be done.
Please remember that our first priority is the health and well-being of our community that we serve! We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you. If you have any questions regarding whether or not you are able to be seen in our office, please call ahead of time, 812-949-0807.
